This roast of four 100% Arabica beans is an ode to José Antonio Gelabert y Garcés, who brought the first coffee plant to Cuba and developed a coffee plantation on the outskirts of Havana. Rich, powerful and intense in taste with lasting crema & chocolaty undertones. Low acidity, slightly nutty and packs a punch.

The mountainous region of Sierra Maestra extends for 25 miles in the Southeastern part of Cuba, rising abruptly from the coast, where sand meets soil. Our variety of beans are rich and deep, with intense flavor, have licorice and molasses undertones that derive from similar topography and elevation. A taste of times gone by of this old region!
Our Havana Vieja blend pays tribute to ‘Old Havana’ - as the first coffee plantation was cultivated on the outskirts of the beautiful ancient city, once a gateway from The Old World to The New World. Dark, smooth and earthy with high crema. This true old blend has low acidity, is smooth with a slight licorice finish bringing out the delicious flavors of the region.
Sierra Escambray mountain range is in the South Central region of the island of Cuba, with its highest peak being 3,150 ft. (Pico San Juan), encompassing rivers, waterfalls and canyons. The unique soil and elevation of the area give beans the flavor of caramel, with nutty tones, low acidity, full bodied and smokiness that is transparent here by expertly blending by us using 4 unique 100% Arabica beans.
The highest peak in the Sierra Maestra mountain range, with an elevation of 6,476 ft, is the highest point in Cuba, in the Santiago de Cuba Province. Limited coffee production exists today but many plantations lay derelict. This sweet Arabica & Robusta blend is perfectly smooth, has low acidity, is creamy, full bodied with bitter undertones.
