ORIGINAL - 100% Arabica Coffee - Intensity 10 - Café Copium ®
Perfectly balanced with a beautiful light nutty aroma. Full-bodied, dark roasted, sweet, smooth, creamy and robust. Reminiscent of the Cuban flavors prior to the 1950’s. Painstakingly perfected using four 100% intense Arabica beans. A comfortable blend that can be enjoyed numinous times throughout the day. Being served at many locations as a local’s favorite. A perfect 10!
* Freshly brewed and sold daily at the famous Grand Cafe restaurant on Duval St. Key West, and many more locations around the island.
INTENSITY LEVEL
Much misconception and misunderstanding arise when Intensity levels are discussed or described.
Simplistically, Intensity Levels refer to the richness and intensity of the aroma of the coffee when brewed or expressed and not to the caffeine levels.
Much like wine and chocolate the characteristics begin at planting. The soil, weather conditions and terrain have a lot of influence on the final intensity.
Harvest, storage, roast and overall production are as influential in the finished product we consume.
Here at Cafe Copium, we strive on perfection. Both brands, Cafés De Cuba & Cocaina Cubana, all have a unique profile and are on the strong intensity levels of 9 to 12.
The aromas are rich. Tasting notes are bold, smooth, low acidity and full bodied. Some have hints of bitterness creating a coffee experience with power and punch.
All are great as espresso but even better with any regular or plant based milk to create the perfect cup.
Very rich and bold! Start the day thinking of Key West
While spending some time in Key Largo this spring, I had the opportunity to try Cuban coffee. I greatly enjoyed the flavor and moderate "jolt". Upon returning home I purchased the necessary brewing pot and found Cafes de Cuba website. Read about the various offerings and made my purchase. I am in no way an expert on this but I'm working on getting the cafe to equal the cafe I had in Key Largo, not there and probably never will be, but I can brew a decent shot, very enjoyable!
This Cuban Coffee is the best I have ever had, and I am a Florida girl. This one is my favorite, and paired with Sierra Maestra, it is bliss. Both are my favorite, together or by themselves; they are bold, flavorful, and smooth. I don't get jittery, but it gives me energy and puts a smile on my face. There is something about this coffee; it is made from love, it carries that kind of energy. Anyways, buy it and ENJOY!!!!
Silky and balanced. It's definitely a premium taste. A little pricey, but worth it when I want something fancy.
This is what real coffee should taste like!
